Flicks on Fifth (Midtown)
Georgia Tech's summer film festival celebrates its sixth season in 2010. This year's lineup is the best of the bunch, featuring recent blockbusters and movies more likely to appeal to an intown hipster than a suburban soccer family. Free popcorn and specials from the restaurants in Technology Square make the event even more appealing.
Best bet
Hot Tub Time Machine on July 21. It's a hard call between the two excellent comedies on the playbill, but this one wins by being cheesier. Indulge those inner schlock cravings without paying a dime.

Directions
Technology Square is located between Spring Street and Williams Street along Fifth Street in midtown Atlanta. Paid parking is available in the lot across from Barnes and Noble as well as at the parking deck adjacent to the hotel and conference center off Spring. The Midtown MARTA station (N4) is located less than half a mile north of Tech Square.
